Injustice: Gods Among Us, the fighting game featuring characters from the DC Universe, is expected to launch on the Xbox 360, the PS3 and the Wii U in April 2013, Warner Bros. Interactive announced today.

In Injustice: Gods Among Us gamers will be able to choose from a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons such as Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and many others, and fight on locations such as the Batcave and Fortress of Solitude. As players fight, they will build a meter that can be used to perform damaging combos or a powerful super move. Wonder Woman, for example, will use the meter to switch between two fighting styles, while Solomon Grundy will utilize it for an array of grapple moves. Players will also be able to compete in wager battles, dubbed the “Clash” system.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is powered by the Unreal Engine 3 and is developed by NetherRealm Studios.
