Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and his studio Mistwalker Corporation  have just announced that Blade Guardian, a real-time tower-defense strategy game, is now available for purchase on the App Store.

Blade Guardian is a game where you must set up a variety of units, that all have different capabilities, so you can be a hero and stop an alien invasion. What separates Blade Guardian from other tower defense games is you can roll BLADEs into enemies using the gyro sensor. You’ll have a variety of BLADEs at your disposal so you can choose from the sphere blade (which will allow you to tilt and turn your screen to crush the alien threat) to automated ground based blades.

You can download Blade Guardian now on iOS for the price of $0,99.
