Retro City Rampage out today

Indie developer VBlank Entertainment Inc. have just announced that Retro City Rampage, a parody of retro games and pop culture, will be available today for download on PC (through Steam and GOG.com), PS3 and PS Vita.

Retro City Rampage is a title inspired by Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto games where players take control of a henchman of a major crime syndicate known as the Jester and try to complete a variety of missions within an enormous city that is open to explore. There are around 60 story missions and 40 challenge levels in total. Retro City Rampage pays tribute to many titles through its storytelling, levels and character abilities, such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Contra, Bionic Commando, and Minecraft, while you’ll also encounter a few guest stars such as Super Meat Boy, Splosion Man and Ms. Splosion, and BIT.TRIP Runner.

You can purchase Retro City Rampage now via GoG.com and later today on Steam for $14,99.
