Having been out on Windows Phone 7 since March, DoDonPachi Maximum, the third game in the series, following DoDonPachi: Blissful Death and DoDonpachi: Resurrection, is is heading to iPad and iPhone this week, developer Cave has announced.

DoDonPachi Maximum, takes place inside a simulator, and features familiar ships from DoDonPachi Blissful Death and DoDonPachi Resurrection. It also contains remixed music from those games. Maximum will be optimised for iPhone 5, and will remove on-screen button icons in favour of touch control.

DoDonPachi Maximum will launch October 26th at a reduced price of £4.99, but will go up to £7.99 from October 29th.
