Mexican based Larva Game Studios announced that they are preparing Last Day on Earth, a cooperative third-person survival shooter with a strong emphasis on strategic play, playable with up to 8 players online, which is slated for console and PC release in late 2012.
Based on an original IP Last Day on Earth tells the story a small group of humans who live for a long time on an abandoned, divided into vast zones, military island. They are Earth's last hope against genocidal alien invaders and in order to survive you must help them collect a variety of weapons, explosives, traps and items which you can combine and customize into more powerful creations.
“These are very exciting times for us,” said Jorge Morales, CEO of Larva Game Studios, one of the fastest growing video game developers in Mexico. “We have been working closely with the Mexican government for some time, and along with a private investor, we now have the capacity to expand our studio and begin a new era. That new era begins with Last Day on Earth. ”
