Good Old Games have announced that the original sci-fi strategy game Syndicate will be released on GOG.com on January 19th, giving players the chance to explore the grim, cyberpunk world that inspired the shiny gatling guns and mind-hacking shenanigans of Starbreeze Syndicate.

Syndicate is the essence of cyberpunk and, with its great music, stylized visuals, and mind-blowing atmosphere, it has earned its respectful place in almost every "best game of all the time" list. Syndicate is Bullfrog’s masterpiece of a game in which you aren’t saving the world or protecting innocents. You just make sure that your employers get what they want.
At your disposal are four cyborg agents, an impressive arsenal of weapons and gadgets, and a massive selection of cybernetic upgrades. You are free to unleash this power on a fully interactive map where you can blow up buildings, steal cars, light trees on fire, or just shoot stuff.
Syndicate will retail for $5,99 when it launches on GOG.com this Thursday. If you want to know what all the fuss was about when EA announced that the company would be remaking Syndicate as a shooter rather than improving the original with modern tech, now is your chance.
