Ankama Games has announced that WAKFU their free-to-play tactical MMO role-playing game developed for PC, will be released on February 29th.
Wakfu takes place within the same fantasy universe as Dofus, which since its creation in 2004 has attracted several million players and made its way into Europe’s top 5 online games. WAKFU however takes place approximately 1,000 years later, after a catastrophic world event known as the Great Deluge. Whilst Wakfu retains some of the basic features seen in Dofus gameplay is governed by player responsibility this time around, and the familiar comic and strategic aspects of Dofus are accompanied by exclusive political and environmental elements.
