Sweden  indie developer Might and Delight, announced the development of an original adventure game, Pid. The game will be released digitally in 2012 for several  platforms, including gaming consoles and PC.

Co-developed by Beefy Media, Pid, set the scenes of a remote alien planet where players need to help their hero to take down a ruler that has no intention of letting anyone leave the planet. In this retro style release you'll need to jump, solve intricate puzzles, fight a  variety of quirky robots, befriend unlikely allies, and float your way past the local fauna—or are they automata?—through multiple levels of platformer action.

Might and Delight, formed back in 2010, includes a number of industry vets who have titles like Mirror's Edge, Battlefield, and Killzone on their resumes. The developers claim that what sets Pid apart from other platformers is the ability to "manipulate a powerful force that can be used to maneuver around the levels in thousands of unique ways." This force can be used to "move enemies and objects, deflect bullets, activate machinery, and change level layouts." It's also got a 2-player co-op mode.
