French based indie developer Okugi Studio have released the first official trailer for their upcoming tower defense game, Shad’O, offering us a first glimpse of the gameplay and the surrounding story.
In Shad’O you have to help a nine year old boy called William to find his memories as he seems to be lost in his own tortured mind. A dark fog of forgetfulness surrounds him but luckily he is assisted by his luminous companions who help him remember what happened. There will be bossfights as well as shadows to fight through aesthetic places in order to put the story together. The idea of Shad’O is that you control the light side and defend and attack against the shadows creatures, slowly carving your way through the fog.
Shad’O will be released on Windows PC’s in early 2012
