Capcom announces Ace Attorney 5, brings 1-3 To iOS and Android

Capcom has confirmed at an event marking Ace Attorney's 10th anniversary that a fifth instalment in the popular Ace Attorney series is in development, but no platforms or release date were mentioned.

Capcom also announced that the first three games in the Ace Attorney series, Phoenix Wright, Justice for All, Trials and Tribulation, will get high-definition re-releases on iOS and Android devices with higher resolution graphics. Those who already own the first Phoenix Wright on iOS, can migrate their save to the newer HD version.

The original Phoenix Wright-starring Ace Attorney game launched in 2001 on Game Boy Advance. The first three games feature the eponymous main protagonist, Phoenix Wright. The fourth game, set seven years after the end of the third game, introduces a new protagonist, Apollo Justice, who takes over from Wright, and Miles Edgeworth, a key character from the first trilogy, is featured in two special interquel titles set between the third and fourth games.

According to reports each game in the series will be priced at 600 Yen ($7.80), or the entire trilogy can be purchased for 1,200 Yen ($15.60).
