THQ have announced that Nexuiz, a full reimagining of Alien Trap Software's free open source shooter launched in 2005, is scheduled to launch on the Xbox 360 on February 29 for 800 Microsoft Points as part of Microsoft's 'House Party' season of Xbox LIVE Arcade titles.
Developed by Denver-based IllFonic and powered by CryENGINE 3, Nexuiz features 9 deadly arenas with short cuts, secret paths, and power-ups to lower gravity or double jump in, where up to eight players continually alter the laws of physics by triggering 100 different Dynamic Mutators that change the match on the fly. Nexuiz will feature multiplayer modes including Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag complete with full competitive leader boards designed for social networking. New games modes, models, and maps will be available as downloadable content post launch.
