Capsized is an old-style platform romp that hails back to a simpler time of lush hand-painted backgrounds, well-paced exploration and bloodthirsty alien creatures out to suck the marrow from your still-twitching, broken limbs. Then at some point the developers went and added physics...
The design choice to add sandbox physics makes the final product somewhat of a hybrid, where the careful calibration that usually goes with 2D platformer controls is meshed with the unpredictability of physics-driven collisions and movement.
For a budget price, players can embark in a sizeable quest to escape the clutches of alien domination, take the fight to friends and foes in arena-type arcade fights, and generally have a good time trying to figure out exactly which gravity hook angle will yeild the greatest impact to the skull of whoever's annoying you at any given moment. It's a strange, unique and slightly alien experience, just like the world it's set in.
