Pineapple Smash Crew the indie fast paced tactical blast-em-up game developed by solo designer Rich Edwards will hit Steam on February 2 according to the trailer released today.
Inspired by classic titles such as Alien Breed, Cannon Fodder, Chaos Engine, and Gain Ground, Pineapple Smash Crew is a top down shooter that involves plastering your way through randomly generated levels, grabbing loot and destroying enemies in the shape of aliens, robots, and zombies.
As you level up you are able to choose from an assortment of devastating hand-lobbed weaponry, that includes, rockets, machine-gun grenades, laser beam grenades, suction grenades, mines, teleporters, holo-bait and bullet shields.
Pineapple Smash Crew also features rare powerups such as Fear, Bullet Time, Invincibility and Four-Times Damage. According to the developer a Desura release for Pineapple Smash Crew is also in the works.
