Shadow Warrior Classic Redux released on Steam

Devolver Digital and General Arcade have announced that Shadow Warrior Classic Redux, the definitive edition of 3D Realms’ 1997 cult classic shooter Shadow Warrior, is available now on Steam.

Just like the companies did with Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition, this comprehensive Shadow Warrior collection includes a visually polished and upgraded Shadow Warrior Classic, the Wanton Destruction and Twin Dragon expansion packs, the original version of the game, SteamPlay support for PC and Mac, Steam achievements, and Steam Cloud support. Indie Royale has launched the Debut 3 Bundle, a package that includes five games currently going through Greenlight trying to get onto Steam

The games included in the bundle are RealAxis Software’s Stained, a side scrolling action-platformer with a healthy dose of puzzles, Somatic Vision’s Tropical Heat, a Jet Ski racing competition set in the tropics, LogiGun, aphysics-based puzzle platformer from developer Sodium Eyes, Darkgod’s Tales of Maj’Eyal, a roguelike RPG, featuring tactical turn-based combat and advanced character building, and Crayon Chronicles by Outer Grid Games an action-packed RPG experience that randomly generates the level layouts each time you play. Square Enix today announced that Deus Ex: The Fall will be coming to iOS devices this Thursday, 11th July, for $6.99/£4.99/5.99€ from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Deus Ex: The Fall features never before seen characters from the novel published by Random House, Deus Ex: The Icarus Effect, and picks up directly where the book finishes. The game is set in the year 2027 where powerful corporations have seized control from governments and command the drug supply needed by augmented humans to survive. Humans Must Answer, a retro shmup in the most classic of manners by Ukraine-based Sumom Games, comprised of ex-S.T.A.L.K.E.R. developers  will be available on the 11th July from GOG.com and Steam.

In Humans Must Answer you become the pilot of a scout ship called The Golden Eagle, which is apparently crewed by a number of highly intelligent and dangerous chicken that try to make contact with the humans. However the encounter soon turns to hostility. (more…)

Pre-alpha gameplay trailer for 7 Days to Die released

A Pre-alpha gameplay trailer for 7 Days to Die”, an open world, voxel-based, sandbox game blending the best elements of FPS, Survival Horror, RPG and Tower Defense style games, has been released by indie developer Fun Pimps.

Those not familiar with the game should know that 7 Days to Die “takes place in the year 2034 where nuclear attacks have decimated the earth and the remaining population is infected by an unknown virus. The infected die within in 7 days and soon reanimate becoming blood thirsty mutated zombies. No one believed it, nobody expected it and nothing can stop it! You are a survivor in Navizgane County Arizona a rare Eden in a world of devastation. Ironically the Apache word “Navezgane” means Killer of Monsters and kill you will as you fight, scrap, craft, salvage and fortify you’re way to survive looking for the truth behind what really happened.”

7 Days to Die will launch on the PC sometime in 2013.

Nordic Games today revealed the first in-game trailer with audio commentary by KING Art for The Raven – Legacy of Master of Thief chapter 1, available to download for PC, MAC, Linux on July 23rd. The trailer, narrated by Marco Rosenberg, Executive Producer at King Art, gives an insight into the adventures that can be experienced during the first chapter The Eye Of The Sphinx. Double Fine’s Broken Age heading to Steam Early Access for additional funding

Despite the fact that Double Fine’s raised $3.3M from Kickstarter crowdfunding for Broken Age (formerly Double Fine Adventure) this amount sees that isn’t enough to help the developer complete the game. So in in a backers-only update on Kickstarter founder Tim Schafer announced that the game is heading to Steam Early Access to raise more funds, which we feel is a bit odd since the game originally only had a $400K goal.
