With less than a month until its November 28 launch, the official site for Artifact is now live, featuring the first in a set of video blogs from designer Richard Garfield. The site will be evolving with more news and info as launch approaches, so please stay tuned for more.

Artifact is a collaboration between legendary card game designer Richard Garfield and Valve. The game is a digital card game that combines deeply-strategic, competitive gameplay with the rich setting of Dota 2.

Wield your deck across three lanes of combat, answering every move of your opponent with one of your own. There are no limits to your hand size. No limits to the amount of units you control. No limits on mana you can employ.  It’s up to you to decide the best way to navigate the constantly-shifting tide of battle.

The Tournament

The Artifact Beta is coming soon and while Valve is getting everything polished, they are at the point where Valve is excited to share some previously unseen features.

On November 10-11, the Artifact Preview Tournament will feature 128 players competing over a prize pool of USD $10,000. Hosted by Beyond The Summit and broadcast on SteamTV, the all-draft event will feature a 7-round Swiss bracket on Saturday. A top 8 single-elimination bracket will decide the winner on Sunday. Both days begin at 9AM PST.

The tournament will be run entirely through an in-client tournament system which will be available for everyone to use on launch day, November 28th.
