To celebrate its launch on Android, Carmageddon, the original freeform driving sensation that features anarchic drive-wherever-you-like gameplay and over-the-top surreal comedy violence is this Friday, 10th of May, free to purchase on Google Play and the App Store, developer Stainless Games has announced.

Carmageddon combines “normal” racing mechanics with slaying hundreds of innocent pedestrians, cows, footballers, and grandmas, or destroying opponents and police forces in various settings, including city, mine and industrial areas. The game was, and still is, adored by gamers worldwide for the flawless design, simple controls, and, most importantly brutal, unbounded fun.

The mobile port of Carmageddon features the ability to share in-game captured videos through YouTube and Facebook. Furthermore beginning levels have been tweaked to make controls more accessible to players unfamiliar with the mechanics, but unlike the original there is no multiplayer.

You can download Carmageddon from the App Store from here and the exclusive PROMO edition of the Carmageddon (this is the FULL game for free) for Android devices from here.
