Sega in a partnership with Double Fine Productions officially announced the launch date and price for the upcoming adventure game, The Cave the latest adventure created by legendary Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion designer Ron Gilbert.
The Cave will be available on January 22nd in North America and on the 23rd January in Europe for the PlayStation Network for $14.99/ €12.99/£9.99/ AUD$19.95. On January 23rd, it will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 for 1200 MSP and Steam for $14.99/ €12.99/£9.99/ AUD$19.95 . The release date for the Nintendo eShop on Wii U will be announced soon.
In The Cave players can assemble their team of three from seven unlikely adventurers, each with their own unique personalities and stories and then descend into the mysterious depths of The Cave. The game is primarily a single-player game, but up to three players can participate cooperatively on the same computer or console, each controlling one of the three selected characters.
