31X Ltd and Origin8 Technologies Ltd have just announced that a revitalised version of the gaming classic Transport Tycoon will be arriving on iOS and Android platforms in late 2013.
Upon its original release in 1994, Transport Tycoon was heralded as the new standard in management simulation games and has gained a legendary status among gamers. Now the original classic returns revised for touchscreen devices, promising to retain every element of what made the original such a prestigious and enduring piece of entertainment.
Transport Tycoon for mobile platforms has been designed and directed by legendary game designer Chris Sawyer, the original creator of Transport Tycoon, Transport Tycoon Deluxe, and Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 2. Veteran developers Origin8 have recreated and restored Sawyer’s original simulation code, resulting in a deep and rich simulation game.
