It seems that Sony is currently working on a program for both Windows and Mac OSX that will allow streaming of games from the Playstation 4 to PC owners. Currently the Remote Play only works on Sony smartphones and Vita.

Shuhei Yoshida, from Sony basically confirmed this on his Twitter account with the msg: “Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac. :D”.

Sony released Remote Play for Vita and Xperia Smartphones last year. Developers need to support the Remote Play functionality in their games. With Remote Play it’s possible to play your favorite games without having to turn the living room TV on. This allows players to still play games, while not using the main TV, but instead, streaming it to another device on the local network.

More information will be posted here when we receive it 🙂
